Perry initially brought his Jackson Hole-area mountain retreat to the market in June, setting an ambitious price tag of $39.5 million with real estate agents Tom Evans and Ashley Diprisco of Jackson Hole Sotheby’s International Realty. The Puerto Rico acquisition and the subsequent price drop on the Wyoming estate arrive mere weeks after Perry listed his massive California compound on September 29. Handled by Santiago Arana of The Agency, the expansive West Coast property was originally purchased by Perry in 2004 for $4.3 million. He subsequently oversaw an extensive transformation, completing a monumental rebuilding project in 2012 that turned the estate into a 24,592-square-foot fortress of luxury.

Reflecting on his decision to downsize and relocate, Perry explained that getting older naturally inspired him to reevaluate his priorities, prompting a desire to pull back from his formerly relentless work schedule and spend more quality time with his son.

The filmmaker candidly added that the aging process has also shifted his personal outlook, noting that he does not plan on ever getting married.

Even with the sales of his Wyoming and California properties underway, Perry retains a massive footprint within the American real estate market. Most notably, he owns an expansive 1,200-acre property in Atlanta, Georgia, which he acquired in 2018. That compound features a custom-built 35,000-square-foot mansion, a resort-style swimming pool, and a working farm complete with horses and other animals.

That Atlanta residential property is situated just a short distance from the massive Tyler Perry Studios. Spanning 330 acres, the studio lot boasts an impressive array of standing sets and infrastructure, including a full-scale replica of the White House, a functional airport terminal, two baseball fields, a commercial strip mall, an entire residential neighborhood, and a professional golf course.
