Banks will be closed on different dates for Bakrid (Id-ul-Adha) depending on your state. Here’s what you need to know:

June 6, 2025 (Friday): Banks closed only in Kerala for Id-ul-Adha.

June 7, 2025 (Saturday): Most banks across India will remain closed for Bakri ID, even though it’s the first Saturday (normally a working day). However, banks will stay open in Gujarat, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, and Kerala.

June 8, 2025 (Sunday): All banks closed as usual weekend holiday.

The Reserve Bank of India sets state-specific holidays under the Negotiable Instruments Act, causing these variations.

Digital Banking Available: During closures, use online banking, mobile apps, and ATMs for most transactions like money transfers, bill payments, and balance checks.

Branch Visit Required For: Large cash deposits/withdrawals, KYC updates, account closure, locker access, and demand draft issuance.

Plan your banking needs accordingly and use digital services during holiday closures.
