No Fourth Stimulus Check Confirmed for 2025

red check mark over black box

Americans wondering about getting another stimulus check in 2025 should know that no fourth payment has been officially approved by Congress or the IRS. The opportunity to claim previous unclaimed stimulus payments has also ended.

The three stimulus checks from the pandemic era are no longer available:

  • First stimulus ($1,200) – deadline passed
  • Second stimulus ($600) – deadline passed
  • Third stimulus ($1,400) – final deadline was April 15, 2025

Anyone who missed the April 2025 deadline to claim the third stimulus check through their 2021 tax return cannot get it anymore, even with a tax extension. These unclaimed payments now belong to the U.S. Treasury.

While social media rumors suggest a $2,000 fourth stimulus check might happen, these claims are unverified and could be misinformation or scams.

President Trump mentioned considering $5,000 “DOGE dividend” payments using government savings identified by Elon Musk’s efficiency department, but he hasn’t provided concrete details or confirmed this plan will definitely happen.

For now, Americans should be cautious about stimulus check rumors and wait for official announcements from government sources.
